Welcome to today’s DFS Delivery article.

Basketball is finally back – I got really tired of losing money on NHL slates – and we have a nice 7-gamer to get us into the final stretch of the season.

We already have some news about players getting shut down, players coming back and we definitely gonna see some new rotations, especially for the teams that were involved in the big trades and revamped their roster. New players, new roles, new possibilities.

    Player Tiers

    Expensive Tier

Nikola Jokic ($12,500) Well, how can I say no to one of the best fantasy producers in the NBA going up against one of the worst defenses in the league? The Nuggets may also be without DeMarcus Cousins due to some contract issues, which should make Jokic play a couple of extra minutes. An added bonus is that the game is projecting to be a close one, so we can easily see a ceiling game out of him tonight.

Devin Booker ($8,800) Chris Paul and Cam Payne are out, so that makes Booker an excellent value. He has played 488 minutes without Paul this season and he has a 33.7% usage rate, averaging 1.25 DK points per minute in those minutes. On top of that, they are going up against the Thunder, as easy a matchup as can be.

    Mid-Tier

Deandre Ayton (5,900) With Paul out, Ayton averages 1.35 DK points per minute and sees an increase in usage. Now with Payne is also out, that should give him an extra boost since there will be a lot of extra shots to go around and we should see a lot of the offense running through him also.

Clint Capela ($5,800) –  Capela’s price reached an all-time low a couple of weeks ago, at $5.1k. It has risen since then, mainly due to him getting minutes with John Collins being out. Collins will be out again tonight, so Capela will continue to see minutes in the late 20s, early 30s and with his being a 1.14 points per minute guy, should be more than enough for him to at least hit value.

    Value

Rajon Rondo ($3,900) – Garland and LeVert are out, so that makes it Rondo season, right? As much as I do not like playing Rondo, I cannot ignore the fact that he will play somewhere close to 28 minutes, and with Brandon Goodwin the only other point guard at the team, the minutes look to be secure. He is averaging 1 DK point per minute for Cleveland this season but in the 2 games that he has played more than 30 minutes he ended up with 42.25 and 40.75 DK points. I cannot see any way out of playing him tonight.

Trendon Watford ($3,400) – With the Blazers in full tank mode, we suddenly get Watford in our DFS lives. The Blazers did sign Drew Eubanks to a 10-day contract but he is not in the DK player pool as of yet, so he could also see some playing time, but Watford will have to play at least 25 minutes against the Warriors. He is averaging 0.88 DK points per minute, but his DK results are all over the place, so keep in mind that this is a very risky play as we can get 11 DK points as easily and we can get 30.

Honorable Mentions: KAT ($9,800), Domantas Sabonis ($9,000), Anthony Edwards ($7,500), Andre Drummond ($6,300), Bruce Brown ($4,700), Aaron Holiday ($4,500)
