• How’d We Get Here?

The Nuggets got some Herculean efforts from their two stars in the bubble, getting all the way to the Western Conference Finals after toppling the Jazz and Clippers. Denver became the first team ever to erase multiple 3-1 series deficits in the same postseason and showed a resilience and toughness that few observers expected to see. The Nuggets clearly have their building blocks and look like a team that’s ready to stay at the top of the standings for years to come.

Unfortunately for them, they lost Jerami Grant in free agency, as he headed to Detroit in search of a larger role. They circled back to keep Paul Millsap in the fold but the Nuggets will largely be relying on continued improvement from their current players to take the next jump after a relatively quiet free agency period in terms of additions.
