Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 8

By Jon Mosales Published November 3, 2026 1 min read

Week 8 was fairly normal in comparison to the rest of the season, but again it’s a lot of matchups vs. talent and talents defying all logic. Anyone who has trusted Tony Pollard all season when he wasn’t doing anything was handsomely rewarded the past two weeks.  The story of the season has been rookie WRs making the leap, but now it appears to be about RB2s taking over and rewarding fantasy GMs with patience.

JJ McCarthy – The Giants had a bye and McCarthy has even more time to get acclimatized to the offense.  He’s thrown for 240+ yards in each of his two starts and looks like a completely different player this season.  The schedule breaks nicely for him with the Eagles and the Commanders over the next two games.  He’s not even close to a QB1, but in Super Flex leagues with so many injuries to actual fantasy starters, you might need to search the bargain bin.
