Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Sleepers: Best WR Targets Outside the Top 100 ADP

  • Fantasy football is always shifting as positions become more valuable due to depth or top-heavy due to superstars joining the fray.  Right now, we are in a time of unprecedented WR depth as some teams legitimately have three WRs on the roster who could all go for 1000 yards.  As a result of this depth, it makes sense to wait on WR, certainly in three WR leagues and try and nail a couple of late-round picks.  If you grab one stud WR, one mid-round WR and a handful of WRs with an ADP past the top-100, you will have a leg up on the rest of the league with a stacked roster.  Here are some of my favorite WRs that are going past the top-100.

    Ricky Pearsall, SF – ADP – 106

Pearsall comes with every warning label in the book as he’s only played 20 games in his two-year career.  The 49ers added Mike Evans and  De’Zhaun Stribling, but they are on opposite ends of their career spectrums and won’t be relevant for fantasy this season.  With George Kittle also rehabbing an Achilles tear, the path is wide open for Pearsall to finally ascend to the upper WR echelon.  Pearsall only had 36 receptions for 528 yards, but among 109 qualifying receivers, Pearsall ranked 23rd in yards per route run.  HIs 17.4 TS% should definitely go up with Jauan Jennings in MIN and Pearsall has always produced when healthy.  Brock Purdy is one of the best deep-ball passers in the league and Pearsall had 100+ yards in two of the first three games of the season before he got hurt in Week. 4. He never really recovered, but was able to finish the season with 85+ yards in his last two games.  If he can only stay healthy for the middle, Pearsall will crush his ADP.  He’s close to a must-draft player for me despite the massive risk.

Josh Downs, IND –  ADP -113
