    Philadelphia +1 * 3.3 units

Philadelphia need some role players to step up and going home is obviously one of the ingredients for that and to me the Joel Embiid situation could go either way. Philadelphia is 1-1 on the cover so far but in a desperation game at home. Their number is soft because of the uncertainty. Josh Hart got a minor ding but OG Anunoby might’ve had a major ding. Either way, things have gone well for New York and they are ready for some adversity. I’m very curious to see if Nick Nurse plays Adem Bona over Andre Drummond or if Nurse thinks Drummond will go off at home. I think there’s enough evidence that they have been competitive to like them in a bounce back situation here.

    Minnesota +3.5 * 1.65 units

I think we have to be at least a little bit wary of San Antonio cruising through these playoffs without jitters. Minnesota going home even with a banged up Ayo Dosunmu after missing a lot of shots is a great recipe for a bounce back. I feel like I’m gambling a little bit with this play but it just feels like the right spot to challenge San Antonio in both betting and reality.

    Detroit +4.5 * 2.75 units

Yes, this is a lot of the same analysis from G2 and it all holds true again. Cleveland could theoretically play Keon Ellis more than six minutes, which were solid once again last game, but with or without Sam Merrill they have real complications offensively. The other elephant in the room is that you don’t add James Harden for a playoff push if you’re not desperate. Donovan Mitchell and this core breaking up has seemed like a distinct possibility and today Jake Fischer dropped a significant log on the fire with his report regarding the contract extension this morning. Maybe they rally together because it’s desperation time but Detroit is playing for each other, with the talent and strategic advantage and so we take the points here and run.
