NBA: Knicks vs. Celtics, 7pm EST Celtics -8.5 (-110) 1 unit (Fanatics)

The defending champion Boston Celtics closed out the Orlando series in five games. Tatum has scored over 35 points in each of the last three, Brown remains in form, and while Jrue Holiday hasn’t played in recent games, his status is still uncertain. New York Knicks, on the other hand, had a standout regular season but struggled to get past the Pistons, eventually winning the series in six games. Brunson, named the league’s most clutch player, sealed Game 6 with a buzzer-beating three and finished with 40 points. Bridges had his most efficient performance of the series in that same game, and Anunoby continues his upward trend. These two teams met four times during the regular season, with Boston winning three by double digits. The Knicks had difficulty putting away the Pistons in Round 1, and things won’t get any easier against a Celtics team that’s posed matchup problems for them all year. The Celtics come into this one fully rested after a long break, which might cause a brief dip in rhythm, but with the stakes now higher and a full roster at home, I expect them to set the tone early and cover the spread.
