New England Patriots @ Carolina Panthers

After a slow start to the season the New England Patriots have evened up their record to 4-4 and are now in the wild card hunt. The Patriots have a clear coaching advantage in this contest and New England’s defense should find many ways to shutdown the Panthers limited offense. Patriots running back Damien Harris has been playing well as of late and should be leaned in against Carolina’s sub par run defense taking pressure off of rookie QB Mac Jones. Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold is questionable with a shoulder injury. Sam Darnold has never beaten his former division rivals and will likely struggle again if he plays. If Sam Darnold is unable to go then P.J. Walker will start for Carolina and he will not have any easy time against a Bill Belichick defense. This Patriots team keeps on improving and I like what I see from their young offense. I think New England is on a positive trajectory for the second half of the season.
