Devin VassellSG, San Antonio SpursThe Spurs and first-round lottery selection Devin Vassell (11th overall) have agreed to a rookie scale contract, according to a team press release.
The Florida State product will receive the customary 120% above the rookie scale for his draft slot. He stands to earn just over $4 million in his first season in the NBA in 2020-21 and more than $18 million over the duration of the four-year deal. Shockingly, when the Spurs selected Vassell in the lottery earlier in November, he became the first lottery pick for the team since 1997. The versatile Vassell has tremendous upside, posting averages of 12.7 PTS, 5.1 REB, 1.6 AST, 1.4 STL and 1.0 BLK for the Seminoles last season.
