We’re finally here, the end of the road. There’s only one day of seeding games left. On that note, there’s no real point to assess tonight’s performances for the purposes of finding value for fantasy.
So, this is what we’re going to do – we’re going to make pickup recommendations based purely on teams with games on Friday, August 14.
Here is the list of teams with games tomorrow: DEN @ TOR, MIA @ IND, OKC @ LAC, PHI @ HOU
Monte Morris, PG, Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets will still be without Will Barton and Gary Harris on Friday, so Morris will have an opportunity to soak up some of those minutes and usage left on the table.
Recommendation: 12-14 team leagues
Chris Boucher, PF/C, Toronto Raptors
Serge Ibaka and OG Anunoby have already been ruled out ahead of Friday’s contest and Boucher did manage to rise to the occasion in their last game. He’s a bit of a gamble, considering he’s shown that he can be a hit-or-miss guy. However, since there’s only a limited number of players on the wire who have a game on Friday, you could do worse.
Recommendation: 14-16 team leagues
Aaron Holiday, PG, and Justin Holiday, SG/SF, Indiana Pacers
The Pacers will be giving their starters a much needed night off for the season restart finale and there’ll be a lot of minutes and usage up for grabs. Holiday, both Aaron and Justin, will be worth adding for their wide-open opportunity to shine. Pick up Aaron for points and dimes, but look to Justin for some defensive numbers. Neither sibling will be friendly on your team’s FG percentage, so caveat emptor.
Recommendation: 12-14 team leagues
Darius Bazley, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder
Bazley has been hot recently, so it’s going to be one hell of a long-shot if he’s still available in your league’s FA pool, but in the event that he’s there, consider him as a must-add, must start guy.
Recommendation: 8-10 team leagues
Ivica Zubac, C, Los Angeles Clippers
Zubac has been a solid performer over the course of the NBA restart, thriving in the absence of Montrezl Harrell, who will not be playing on Friday. It’s a smart bet to expect at least a double-double from Zubac on a night that the Clippers will take it easy on their star players.
Recommendation: 10-12 team leagues
