Robert CovingtonSF, Houston RocketsRobert Covington started the Rockets' final scrimmage game vs. the Celtics on Tuesday, scoring 16 points (4-of-7 3PT) and grabbing seven boards in 25 minutes of action.
Covington is playing the five for the Rockets and coach Mike D'Antoni, a tactic they have used since acquiring Covington from the Wolves in February. The team rid themselves of most of their height and initially had success with their 'small-ball' lineup. The wind was quickly knocked out of their sails, however, and they find themselves in a tie for fifth place in the Western Conference with the Thunder (40-24). RoCo is vital to their ability to defend down low with their lack of size and should remain entrenched in the starting lineup throughout the seeding games and playoffs.
