Rajon RondoPG, Los Angeles LakersAfter undergoing successful surgery to repair a right thumb fracture on Wednesday, Rajon Rondo is expected to return to full basketball activities in 6-8 weeks.
Rondo suffered the injury during practice on Sunday before undergoing surgery later in the week. The 6-8 week timetable means that Rondo will miss the eight-game resumption of the season but could return at some point during the Lakers' playoff run. Alex Caruso will likely be the primary beneficiary while Quinn Cook and newly acquired J.R. Smith and Dion Waiters could also see a few extra minutes. Caruso could be worth a look as a late-round flier in resumption fantasy seasons.
