There’s no shortage of intrigue this week—whether you’re chasing power, speed, or saves. Evan Carter is flashing the five-category upside we hoped for in March, Nick Kurtz has turned into a must-add bat in Oakland, and a shakeup in the Phillies bullpen has opened the door for Orion Kerkering. Toss in a resurgent Lucas Giolito and several weekend streamers with upside, and you’ve got plenty of reasons to hit the wire. As always, we’re targeting players rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues.
Evan Carter, OF, Rangers (36% Yahoo)
Carter has hit safely in eight of 10 games since returning from the injured list, going 13-for-33 (.394) with three home runs, five stolen bases, and a 4:4 BB:K. It’s the kind of all-around production we hoped to see from him coming into the year, and he’s delivered it while batting fifth for a surging Rangers offense. Carter is back to being a five-category threat, and he should be scooped up in any format where he’s still
