Two arms and two bats combine for a quartet of streamers for this weekend, riding a couple of surging right handers, and per usual, a couple of bats facing the (red hot?) Rockies.
Zack Littell – SP – TBR vs MIA – 30% rostered (Yahoo)
Littell isn’t an arm that inspires most fantasy owners, yet he’s become a reliable streamer over the past season and a half, with the Rays turning him into a mid-to-high threes ERA pitcher who effectively pitches to contact. His strikeout to walk ratio is entirely saved by his elite 3.7% walk rate, and despite his low velocity and lack of swing and miss, he’s limited damage by inducing soft contact on swings outside of the strike zone. The Marlins do a lot of chasing, and aren’t otherwise potent offensively, making this a pretty ideal matchup for Littell. Consider the fact that Miami just got swept by the Rockies, and this should be a pretty safe, but unspectacular stream in 10 team leagues.
