A long list of streamers for this weekend includes five pitchers with favorable matchups, alongside a bat to supplement your power categories at the end of the week.
Friday
José Soriano – SP – LAA vs WSN – 47% rostered (Yahoo)
Fresh off of a 10 strikeout performance against the offensively struggling Astros, Soriano will face another sputtering unit in the Washington Nationals on Friday. Aside from James Wood, they haven’t enjoyed much offensive production over the past few weeks, as their record would indicate, and the velocity of Jose Soriano should combine his high upside with the floor of a weak, chase happy opponent. I’m happy to stream Soriano anywhere and hold him as long as he performs to this level; he’s always had the arm to become a quality fantasy starter; this could be the beginning of a breakout.
Landen Roupp – SP – SFG @ CHW – 26% rostered (Yahoo)
After another solid stream last weekend, Roupp heads to Chicago to face the offensively anemic White Sox, who’ve suffered through even worse production over the past few weeks. Roupp hasn’t cracked yet (unless you streamed him against the Dodgers) in this run of delivering solid ratios with excellent damage limitation, and there’s no reason to believe that Friday should be the start where he does; he’ll also be a pretty solid bet to earn a win. Another streamer worthy of any league, particularly if your format rewards pitcher decisions.
