Streaming options are often thin coming out of the All-Star Break as teams rearrange their rotations, but we’ve managed to find two solid pitching streams alongside a trio of high-upside bats headed into Coors Field.
Friday
Slade Cecconi – SP – CLE vs ATH – 14% rostered (Yahoo)
Cecconi is Cleveland’s pick to start their first game out of the break, and his solid first half has gone some way towards justifying the Josh Naylor trade that (rightfully) drew the ire of Guardians fans. He’s been a bit fortunate to only have a 3.44 ERA thus far, primarily in deference to some alarming batted ball numbers against him, but an above average K:BB ratio offers some hope going forward. His huge jump in whiff rate can be attributed to diversifying his pitch mix in 2025, adding a sinker and heavily reducing his four-seamer usage while throwing his curveball twice as often. That curve will come in handy against the young fastball-hunting lineup of the Athletics, enough so that the quality of matchup makes a stream against this solid offense worth it in 12+ team leagues.
Royce Lewis – 3B – MIN @ COL – 45% rostered (Yahoo)
For a player with such immense potential, Lewis hasn’t been able to stay on the field enough since his promotion as a top prospect in 2022, due to a horrific sequence of injuries that have limited him to 194 career games in those four seasons. He’s dealt with his share of injuries again this season, but he’s struggled when healthy for the the first time as a big-leaguer, holding a .583 OPS and two homers over 153 plate appearances. His .450 xSLG and .271 xBA indicate he’s been unlucky when on the field, with his .302 SLG and .216 average a long way off their expected counterparts, and a weekend at Coors offers a prime opportunity for that progression to the mean to be realized in a huge way, especially with a left-hander starting for Colorado on Friday. I’d pick up Lewis everywhere with the expectation that he’ll produce with time, with the most likely motivator for a drop being future injury.
