Studs and Duds Broncos vs Saints TNF Week 7

By Robert Szolosi Published October 19, 2024 2 min read

STUDS

1.  Javonte Williams

Finally, Williams was used to his full effect on Thursday night. The Broncos need him to contribute to helping win games and also keeping Bo Nix comfortable and confident. It’s hard to fully trust him as more than a flex play moving forward until we see more of this, but it’s a great sign.

2. Cedrick Wilson Jr.

Here’s the thing: No receiver in the Saints offense is worth starting in fantasy until Chris  Olave returns. Spencer Rattler is only hurt by this receiving core, which has not helped. This receiving core will rotate good fantasy games until  Derek Carr returns

3. Bo Nix

We were hyped on Bo Nix here at Studs and Duds all the way back in the preseason. While he isn’t a fantasy-relevant player right now, what excites us is how much Sean Payton continues to trust him. He is worth considering during playoff weeks, as that’s when we believe he’ll really find his stride.

DUDS

1.  Alvin Kamara

Kamara just doesn’t have good Thursday night games. Seriously, he hasn’t scored a touchdown on TNF in so long. Overall, this is a small bump in the road for his fantasy season, as he has just been incredible. They will have to rely on him a lot in future weeks, so expect him to find his footing once again as the Saints travel to LA to face the Chargers next Sunday.

2. Courtland Sutton

The Nix-Sutton connection is just not there at the moment. As Bo Nix improves, the connection will improve, but that will take a fair amount of time. It’s hard to trust him moving forward. The connection is not there, which is the primary reason we’ve had him so low on our wide receiver rankings in the past few weeks.

3. Spencer Rattler

Rattler had to use his legs a lot in this game, and his receivers just couldn’t get open for him. I’m curious how he would perform with Chris Olave. But we’re still not sure when we’re going to get that. He has potential, but he still is very raw, and for that reason, he’s just not worth grabbing in fantasy.
