Baseball may be taking a short break for the All-Star Game this week, but Streamer Tidd-Bits definitely isn’t. This is the 15^th edition of the series and I have to admit, when I was reviewing our most recent recommendations that we’ll be covering today I may have been the happiest I’ve been all season doing so. Why you ask? Well, this is the first week where both of our merit-based recommendations were wins. In recent weeks I’ve noted how these picks have started doing better while our matchup-based recommendations have been going in the opposite direction, and this week continued that trend. Luis L. Ortiz and Andre Pallante pitched spectacularly over the last 2.5 weeks, and I’ll let you see for yourself just how well they both did. And if you want more proof of how well they pitched, both are now rostered in more than 80% of Main Event leagues. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Although our matchup-based adds from the first week of July were both losses, Yonny Chirinos was either one more scoreless inning or one strikeout away from being a win. So not a terrible add if you streamed him. However, his teammate Roddery Munoz disappointed again. I’ve previously professed my love for Roddery, but until he can get his walk rate in check and stops allowing so many home runs I’ll unfortunately have to stay away. If you want to take a break from FAAB this week with the short week upcoming I get it, but I think it’s a great opportunity to get a head start on adds for the following week, or perhaps see if you can sneak some cheap bids on injured players who are about to return from injury.
