Welcome back to another edition of Streamer Tidd-Bits! We now have three weeks of matchup-based adds and two weeks of merit-based adds in the books, with our matchup plays being the more successful of the two. First, we’ll review the merit-based recommendations we gave for the week of 4/15 – 4/21. Jose Soriano’s results over his last four starts (this was updated through 5/4) were a mixed bag, primarily because the poor walk rate we told you to keep an eye out for returned (12 walks in 18.7 innings). However, a 2.41 ERA and almost 5 Ks/start were enough for me to consider him a win, especially when his matchups weren’t considered.
On the other hand, Ryan Feltner was a loss. His most recent start versus the Marlins on the road wasn’t enough to cancel out the damage his matchups against the Phillies on the road and the Padres at home did. However, hopefully you listened to what I said and kept him on your benches for the Padres start.
Lastly, our matchup-based recommendations for the week of 4/22 – 4/28 performed much better, even though we only went 1-1. Trevor Williams survived his road matchup against the Marlins, but other than helping you out in ERA he didn’t do much else. Our win for these recommendations was Albert Suarez, who ended up with a two-start week thanks to his first start getting moved up to Monday the 22nd. His one start would’ve been enough, as he secured a win versus the Angels. Here are the detailed breakdowns of our next round of results, as well as our next set of recommendations for the week of 5/6 – 5/12.
