It’s the middle of the week and almost 4th of July, so let’s dive into three potential arms that could provide some relief to your fantasy rotation:
Christian Scott – SP – NYM – 29% Yahoo, 64% Fantrax
The Mets are set to recall right-hander Christian Scott from Triple-A Syracuse for a start against the Nationals on Wednesday. Scott, widely regarded as the Mets top pitching prospect, rejoins a Mets team that has been red-hot, going 20-8 since his last start on May 30. During his stint in Triple-A, Scott posted a fantastic 2.12 ERA in four starts, showcasing his potential for success at the major league level. In his last Major League appearance, Scott allowed two runs over five innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks. Although his season ERA stands at 3.90, he has shown promise, and the Mets’ recent transformation into a winning team only helps his cause. Fantasy managers looking for a potential streaming option before the All-Star break should consider adding Scott in leagues of 12 teams or more. Monitor his start against the Nationals to see if he can build on his recent success in AAA and become a reliable option moving forward. Scott presents the most upside and long-term appeal of the three arms discussed today.
