Butler’s torrid July caused some mass adding, seeing his ESPN ownership rise to 50% after a month of 1.210 OPS baseball with 10 home runs. His August pace had slowed, hitting just one home run in the first 22 days of the month, causing the inverse reaction, with his ownership percentage settling at 15%. Three home runs in his last five games along with a reduced strikeout rate and 1.093 OPS over the last week indicate the start of another hot streak, and with his offensive potential proven from his performance in July, he’s worth a pick up for now in all formats.
