NOTE: The cutoff point will be 50% rostered in NFBC Rotowire Championship leagues (12-teams). The players will be listed in order of rostership (with exception being the top player).
Luis Gil – P – NYY – 28%
He flashed his elite swing-and-miss ability in just his second start back vs. the Astros with 15 whiffs (40% whiff rate) as his velocity is normal and things look good for the former Rookie of the Year. His elite K-upside and win-chance pitching for the Yankees is hard to find on wires this late and it might be the last big home run swing for fantasy managers. If you need K’s and W’s, this is where you need to unload your FAAB. Gil also induced soft contact last year with a 37.0% hard-hit rate and that number is at 38.5% in the early going for him. So he has a shot to limit damage and return good ratios.
Recommendation – 12-teams – 40-75% of FAAB
