Fantasy Baseball is a beautiful thing, we aren’t even halfway through the season yet, and some people have solidified their opinions on certain players. I keep saying the same thing people, it is a marathon, not a sprint! Don’t let a quarter of a player’s season determine an entire season’s value. The past few weeks we have been crushing it, suggesting buy lows on Nathan Eovaldi and Christian Yelich while also recommending sell highs on James Outman and Patrick Wisdom. With that, I’m going to get into 3 guys that you should target as buy-low candidates and 3 guys you should look to trade based on their inflated value. A few names I might’ve mentioned on my Twitter (@Andrew_FBB) so you can check them out over there as well!
Undervalued Players to Buy
Trea Turner
A lot of Trea Turner slander has been on my Twitter feed lately. Yes, Trea is having a rough start to the 2023 season but let’s not forget that this is the guy who is a 20 HR/20 SB threat with his eyes closed. Sure his metrics are all down this year but this just goes back to established talent for me. Turner might not be the number one overall player in fantasy as to where he was being drafted but come year-end with his cumulative numbers I’m willing to bet he will finish as a top 2-3 shortstop. Through 217 plate appearances, he is batting .250 with 6 home runs, 13 RBIs, and 6 stolen bases. A lot of owners are seemingly frustrated with this because of the initial investment. I’ll bet on the guy that is a career .300 hitter with almost 4000 plate appearances to figure it out. If anyone is selling Trea Turner in your fantasy leagues, I would take the opportunity and buy.
