Hi Fantasy Baseball Community,
Welcome to another Sunday rendition of SportsEthos Daily Adds. For additional add content, feel free to follow me on @backpickfantasy on Twitter.
Elvis Andrus, (2B/SS, White Sox):
How can he keep getting away with this? Elvis was a league winner in the second half last year, and he’s up to his old antics again hitting leadoff while Tim Anderson is on suspension. Andrus is top-50 the last two weeks going 17-of-45 with 7 runs, 1 HR, 11 RBI, 2 SB and a .378 BA. It’s astonishing what Andrus is doing at age 34, and his career stats are amazing. Andrus was a 40 SB 5 category elite asset in his prime, and he’s simply a good ball player. He’s someone to ride the wave on.
Ryan Yarbrough (SP, RP, Los Angeles Dodgers):
Ryan Yarbrough, wow. RY has been top 15 according to Yahoo’s standard cat player rater over the last month. If ANY bat was top 15 over the last month, he would be scooped, so why do we fade guys like Ryan (7% Yahoo)? Ryan has 25.1 frames with 4 wins, 1 save, 16Ks, a 1.42 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP over the last month. He’s an elite swingman and he’s going to rack up wins out of the pen for the Dodgers, if you can manage a low K rate, I’d easily add Ryan.
