Fantasy Recap: Steelers @ Browns (9/22/22)

  • Steelers 17, Browns 29 (Browns covered -4.5, O 38)

A week after a really disappointing loss to the Jets where the Browns had a 13-point lead with less than two minutes left, the Browns were able to keep their lead over a Steelers team that was able to move the ball better than we’ve seen over the first two weeks. However, it’s not all good news for Cleveland as they likely lost LB Anthony Walker to a season-ending knee injury while fellow LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah left the game with a groin injury.

Pregame: Mitch Trubisky is a backup QB who is being used as a stop-gap solution until Kenny Pickett is given his opportunity to run the show. Even in a superflex league, there are better options out there than the former Chicago Bear. The Browns have been more friendly to the pass than they have to the run through two games, but Trubisky just isn’t the guy to trust here.

Postgame: We were right on with this analysis, although Trubisky was able to get over 200 passing yards for the first time this season. He didn’t throw a single touchdown and remains waiver wire material in all one QB leagues.
