Early Week Streamers for Mar 31st – Apr 3rd

  • Hey everyone, welcome to your first streaming guide of the 2025 fantasy baseball season!! Last year, we did all of our pitching streams just on the podcast, so if you don’t listen to it, you missed out on a heap of FREE content and tons of streams (and fades) every week.

This year, we’ve decided to do two streaming articles a week for our premium users. The podcast only provides one day of streamers at a time (a day ahead), whereas the streamer articles will provide three and four day streaming outlooks, giving you a leg up and a heads up on those non-premium Sports Ethos members (and those in your league who don’t use Sports Ethos at all…even though they should).

The articles will come out every Monday and every Thursday. As I will be producing Monday’s article, at the time it is published, it will have the most up-to-date information for Monday through Wednesday’s pitching schedules and streams. If there are any changes, the article will be updated to reflect that, so check back daily. On Monday night, I’ll update Wednesdays streamers, as I have more information and less TBD spots on the schedule. On Tuesday night, I will update and post any streams for Thursday, as there will be more information available for the few Thursday games we will have and there should be no TBD spots on the schedule for that day.

So, without further ado, your early week streams…

    Monday – March 31st – Probable Starters

Chris Paddack – SP – MIN – @ Chicago White Sox – 2% rostered (Yahoo)

Once again, the White Sox are a team that you can start pretty much every single pitcher against and, more often than not, end up with a positive result. Through three games, they’ve scored only 10 runs, they have four doubles and four home runs, 19 strikeouts and eight walks. They have no position with a batting average over .250 except for the catcher position, where Matt Thaiss and Korey Lee are a combined 3-for-7 with four walks. The fact that they scored 10 runs against the Angels should be celebrated.

As for Paddack, he’s a classic great control Minnesota starter with a home run problem. He strikes out around eight per nine innings, walks only two per nine but has a career HR/9 of 1.42. He produces average statcast numbers most years (career 8% barrel and 40.3% barrel rates, neither great nor terrible), has been ground ball over fly ball for most of his career, with an 11% swinging strike rate and a 31.2% chase rate, which are solid if unspectacular, though he does allow more contact than you’d like (77.6% career). So why would I risk streaming Paddack against this White Sox team? In two starts last year, he threw 12 innings, struck out 13, walked two, allowed two earned runs and one home run. The Sox did not get better this year, so I wouldn’t expect them to blow up Paddack’s start here.

    David Peterson – SP – NYM – @ Miami Marlins – 20%

Though the Marlins have averaged four runs per game through the first four games of the season, they’ve done so with essentially a league average offense. They hit only two home runs, one triple and eight doubles, walked 15 times, struck out 32 and stranded the tied-for third-most base runners over the opening weekend (only the Cubs, who have played two more games, and the Pirates stranded more, while the Diamondbacks stranded the same amount). They are currently 3-1, but all three wins were walk-off victories over the Pirates.

They’ll be facing Peterson coming off of a career year, where he set career bests in starts, innings pitched, walk rate, home run rate, ERA and chase rate. It seems like he sacrificed strikeouts for control, as his strikeout rate dropped to 7.51 K/9 after being over 10 the last two seasons, but his walk rate dropped from 4.05 BB/9 to 3.42. If you’re in a deep league and have already settled on chasing volume stats (W, K) over worrying about ratios, Peterson is a solid option.
