Every Tuesday I take a look at and review the previous week’s fantasy performances. We crown the top ten hitters and top ten pitchers, cover injury news and transactions that impact the fantasy landscape, review noteworthy performances from across the league and check in on the state of the relief corps.

- Diamondbacks SP Corbin Burnes was placed on the 15-day injured list on June 3rd, with right elbow inflammation, before being transferred to the 60-day injured list on June 7th, after he and the team decided he needed to have Tommy John surgery. Burnes will now be out until the second-half of 2026 at the earliest, a major impact to a Diamondbacks team whose rotation has been one of their biggest weaknesses. Burnes was one of the prizes of the 2024 off-season free agency chase and will now miss the final four months of his first season in Arizona.
- RP Luke Weaver was placed on the 15-day IL with a left hamstring strain on June 3rd. The Yankees expect him to miss four-to-six weeks recovering, but he received a PRP injection in the hamstring on June 6th and had already resumed throwing, which is encouraging news for his recovery. He has been a key piece in the back-end of the Yankees bullpen, with Devin Williams moving back into the closer’s role with Weaver out.
- The Marlins placed SP Max Meyer on the 15-day IL on June 3rd with a left hip impingement. He’s been struggling lately, so maybe some time off to get his body right will help him right the ship. He’s looking at a return, at the earliest, of June 18th, but we’ll have a better idea as we get closer to this weekend.
- The Reds placed SP Hunter Greene on the 15-day IL on June 4th with a right groin strain. He is expected to miss multiple weeks with the injury, especially because he was also suffering through some back issues as well. On Monday June 9th, he headed to Los Angeles, seeking a second opinion on his injuries. This is his second time hitting the injured list with groin issues this season.
- The Mets placed 3B Mark Vientos on the 10-day IL with a low-grade strain in his right hamstring, on June 3rd. The Mets will have him resting and receiving treatment for around two weeks before he resumes baseball activities, so expect him back sometime near the end of June or beginning of July.
- C Shea Langeliers was placed on the 10-day IL on Friday with a left oblique strain. The severity of the strain is currently unknown, but Langeliers could be looking at an extended stay on the IL if the strain is bad enough. The Athletics currently have no timetable for a return, so keep an eye on our blurb feed to find out how long he’ll be out once we know the severity of the strain.
- Rockies SS Ezequiel Tovar was placed on the 10-day IL on Friday, retroactive to June 3rd, after injuring his left oblique. Nothing has been released regarding the severity of the injury or when he is due to leave the IL, but the Rockies called up prospect SS Ryan Ritter to replace his spot on the field.
- The Twins placed SP Pablo Lopez on the 15-day IL on Thursday with a right teres major muscle strain. He is expected to miss eight to twelve weeks. This is a major blow to not just the Twins, but also fantasy managers, who rostered Lopez as an SP1 or SP2 in most cases. David Festa was called up to replace him in the rotation, but should have already been rostered in most leagues.
- OF Bryce Harper was placed on the 10-day IL on Saturday, with right wrist inflammation, retroactive to June 6th. The Phillies called up Otto Kemp to replace him on the 26 man roster, but he will back up Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa at the corners. Harper’s earliest date to return is June 16th, but there is no firm timeline at the moment.
- Twins SP Zebby Matthews was placed on the 15-day IL due to a right shoulder strain, on Sunday. The second blow to the Twins rotation, Matthews has been performing pretty poorly compared to his Triple-A performance, just like he did in his 2024 turn in the rotation. We do not know the severity of the strain, so there is no timetable for a return currently.
