The kids are alright, with half of the top twenty outfielders under the age of 25 and only two over the age of 30 (and only eight of the top 40). Aaron Judge had the greatest season by a right-handed hitter in the history of the game last season, yet he’s the fourth (or fifth, if you prefer to have 15 year of Jackson Chourio) ranked dynasty outfielder. You might be shocked to see Corbin Carroll at two, but after he bounced back in the second half and demonstrated that he still has plenty of power and speed, I believe the average will rebound this year. It’s tough to quit Ronald Acuna Jr., even after a second ACL tear, so even if he doesn’t play until May or June, he’s still the third best outfielder AT WORST over the next five plus years. Outfield is so deep and talented that prospects don’t even pop onto the rankings until 19 and 20, where Dylan Crews and Romany Anthony are expected to be a part of an exciting group of young bats that have made short term debuts or have yet to debut yet. Both could be difference makers as early as this year.
