Dewayne Dedmon has been traded to the Pistons for Khyri Thomas and Tony Snell.

This makes sense as the Hawks drafted rather unusually regarding fit, picking up another frontcourt player despite their depth. Dedmon is a fantasy goldmine when given minutes and this situation could prove fruitful for him. The Hawks move Dedmon because he has two years and $26M left on his contract while Tony Snell's salary matches and is expiring. The Pistons will add a proven and productive big man on their roster while the Hawks can get an expiring deal and potentially trade further or sign John Collins to that big extension he wants.
