Taj GibsonPF, New York KnicksThe Knicks have waived Taj Gibson, according to Shams Charania.
It's a bit of a surprise given Tom Thibodeau's longstanding love affair with Gibson and his trustworthy veteran game, but New York is clearly moving in a younger direction. Gibson, who was set to make over $10 million this season, should find work as a veteran presence and end-of-bench contributor. He certainly won't be making 56 starts again. This opens up more playing time for Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle and Obi Toppin, which means it's good news for fantasy GMs.
