Klay Thompson tore his Achilles during a basketball workout on Wednesday night.

This was the worst case scenario and one that everyone feared. After Haynes' initial report about the "fear of a heel injury" it was a somber night for Warriors fans and fans of basketball. This news is terrible for everyone as Thompson was an iron man for his first eight seasons and after a devastating ACL injury in the finals, he worked for17 months to get back on the hardwood only to have this occur. In fantasy circles, the Warriors will lean heavily on Stephen Curry and new additions Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman, but no player can replace the fit and talent that Thompson had to this Warriors team. Our thoughts go out to him and we hope he fully recovers from this. An update from Adrian Wojnarowski states that based on the type of tear, they believe Thompson should make a full recovery.
