    Russell Westbrook is expected to miss at least the first few games of the Rockets-Thunder playoff series with a right quadriceps injury.

    The Houston Chronicle has reported that Westbrook will miss some time due to his injury as the MRI came back with a strained quad. This is a huge blow to the Rockets, who relied heavily on him to put pressure off James Harden when teams would send doubles. They'll now rely more on Austin Rivers and Eric Gordon. There's some irony in the fact that the Rockets traded for Westbrook for health reasons and he'll be missing the first few games against Chris Paul's Thunder in the playoffs.
