Head coach Nick Nurse was exercising caution after Fred VanVleet's left knee took a hard hit during Sunday's scrimmage versus the Blazers, and he does not expect the injury to be "too bad".

This is what we were expecting after seeing it live, and we'll now have to wait and see if the tests show any cause for concern. In all likelihood, this was just the Raptors playing it safe during a scrimmage matchup. FVV should be fine for when the games start to count and he gets back to delivering early to mid-round value in 12-team formats. Terence Davis and Matt Thomas are waiting in the wings if VanVleet gets a night or two off during the scrimmage portion of the schedule. FVV finished with zero points, one rebound and one assist on the night.
