D'Angelo RussellPG, Minnesota TimberwolvesD'Angelo Russell (knee soreness) sat out Saturday's practice and the Wolves have yet to determine his status for Sunday's game.
Minnesota is working on planned rest days for Russell and frankly there's not much incentive for him to play through any injuries while Karl-Anthony Towns is out, as that chemistry experiment is the Wolves' biggest goal for the rest of the year. If Russell ends up sitting to close this week, look for Jordan McLaughlin and Malik Beasley to pick up extra minutes. Pretty much everyone will get additional minutes and usage.
