• Clint Capela
    C, Atlanta Hawks

Lloyd Pierce emphasized that if Clint Capela (right heel, plantar fasciitis) returns this season, he'll be playing under a minutes restriction.

In other words, Capela won't be playing a typical workload until next season. With the Hawks announcing yesterday that the big man would miss another two weeks at minimum, it's probably time to make the tough call about dropping Capela if you're scrapping for a playoff spot or don't have an IR spot. The Hawks have no incentive to play Capela until he's fully healthy again, and his blocks and rebound numbers won't be close to their usual selves if he's limited upon returning. Bruno Fernando and Damian Jones will continue to split the center minutes for the foreseeable future, though Dewayne Dedmon is the only viable standard-league option here — he just needs to get healthy himself.
