Bradley Beal is out for Friday's matchup with the Blazers due to leg soreness.
Head coach Scott Brooks said Beal's leg soreness issue flared up after he had a collision with Jonathan Isaac in the last game on Wednesday. Troy Brown Jr. will replace Beal in the starting lineup as the Wizards don't want to push Beal on the first half of a Friday and Saturday back-to-back. Brown, Jordan McRae, Gary Payton II and Garrison Mathews should all see an opportunity for big minutes with Beal out. The team will probably go with the hot hand in the end, but Brown and McRae have been receiving the most consistent shares of minutes. Beal should be back out there on Saturday against the Nuggets.
