• Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Shams Charania is reporting that the Lakers plan to start Alex Caruso instead of Dwight Howard in Sunday's Game 6.

Anthony Davis will be forced into playing center tonight despite his longstanding resistance to the idea. That hasn't been such a big deal considering how often Davis plays as a typical center, however. The Lakers will be slightly more versatile given Caruso's switchability and we'd still expect to see Howard get some minutes as the top big off the bench. This change points to the Lakers going smaller, which means they're likely to focus on stopping Jimmy Butler at extra cost while running the risk that Bam Adebayo can run wild. It's going to place a heavier burden on Davis defensively as well and the chess match is on with the Lakers aiming to take home the title tonight.
