Desmond Bane

The Grizzlies traded with the Celtics to acquire the 30th pick and have chosen Desmond Bane from TCU.

Bane is a promising combo-guard, who should be able to bolster the Grizzlies' need for depth. The team is in need of another scoring option outside of Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr., so it's possible Bane is a project to fill that need. Bane averaged 16.6 points and 6.3 rebounds in 2019-20.
