• Wesley Matthews
    SG, Milwaukee Bucks

Wesley Matthews has agreed to a one-year deal with the Lakers worth $3.6 million, per Shams Charania.

The Lakers were the first and only reported team with interest in Matthews, who declined his $2.7 million player option with the Bucks to test free agency. Matthews should be an approximate Danny Green replacement as a 3-and-D wing, though his floor and ceiling are both considerably lower — not that Green had a good year by his standards in LA. He'll be part of a wing committee for the Lakers and won't be on the fantasy radar. David Aldridge of The Athletic adds that Matthews was interested in the chance to start, which likely points to the end of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's run with the Lakers. It doesn't help Matthews' outlook in a meaningful way.
