Wendell Carter Jr.C, Chicago BullsWendell Carter Jr. will continue doing whatever is asked of him, but again made it very clear that he’s always been a power forward and wants to discuss that with the coaches and the front office during the end-of-season exit meetings.
Carter grew up playing power forward, he played it in high school and he played the position during his one season at Duke, interchanging with fellow big man Marvin Bagley III. Since making him the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 draft, however, the Bulls have found Carter’s skills more suitable at center, in order to pair him with Lauri Markkanen. It has been a growing experience for the second-year forward who often finds himself mismatched against bigger and more athletic bigs. This looks like it’s going to be a long offseason for the Bulls and a lot of dominoes are expected to fall. In the meantime, Carter will look to remain healthy and finish the season on a positive note.
