According to Sean Deveney, new Kings GM Monte McNair is not yet ready to part with the team's high scoring guard, Buddy Hield.

Hield was very unhappy with former GM Vlade Divac, who offered him an insulting extension in the past. A move to the bench did not do his happiness levels any favors either. Unfortunately for McNair, inheriting the Kings (and Hield) leaves him a lot to deal with on his plate. Hield's vocal displeasure does not help his market's outlook either. So, while the best move for the future would be to move on from Hield, it is something that the team and McNair are not planning to jump into right away.
