• Dzanan Musa
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

The Pistons will acquire Dzanan Musa and a 2021 second-rounder from the Nets in exchange for Bruce Brown once the transaction moratorium is lifted.

The roster reshaping begins in Detroit, where Troy Weaver is looking to stockpile assets for what could be a painful rebuild. Brown was an important part of the Pistons' rotation last year as a wing defender and ball-handler, so this opens up a fairly large hole. Luke Kennard and Svi Mykhailiuk look like immediate beneficiaries, though there's still lots more to come this offseason. Musa, a former first-round pick, has shown very little at the NBA level over his first two years, but perhaps he gets a shot at a rotation role given the state of Detroit's wing depth and their desperate need for a shooter. The 2021 draft pick will be coming via the Raptors.
