Per ESPN, The NBA and the NBPA have struck an agreement that will withhold 25 percent of each player paycheck beginning May 15.

Basically 25 percent of the player paychecks will be held as a reserve to be negotiated upon once a decision is made on the remainder of the 2019-20 season. If the season gets canceled and the owners invoke force majeure, they will be entitled to keep 22-27 percent of player salaries, and this fund is likely to be part of that collection. Still, the owners wanted to originally withhold 50 percent of player salaries, and the players had been countering with this 25 percent figure. It seems like the player's preferences won out here.
