The Knicks claimed Theo Pinson off waivers on Friday and have waived Allonzo Trier to make room on the roster.

Pinson had been a casualty of the Nets' acquisition of Tyler Johnson. The second-year pro had spent the majority of his time in the G League, where he put up some big numbers, but that has never been able to translate over limited minutes in the pros. He averaged 3.6 points on .290 shooting from the field over 33 games with the Nets this season.
