Chris PaulPG, Oklahoma City ThunderDuring a conference call that was heavily focused on coronavirus concerns, Commissioner Adam Silver and NBPA Executive Director Michele Roberts continued to express an eagerness to resume play in the Orlando bubble.
While a handful of players have chosen to sit out the resumption of play, the parties involved largely displayed a united front today. The situation in Florida and the United States is worsening, but it appears that all parties have confidence that they've taken a high level of caution in planning out the Orlando campus. Chris Paul and Andre Iguodala were amongst the players joining the conference call, and expressing optimism that they can handle the challenges ahead. The league and the players have also made important progress on collaborative efforts regarding social justice issues. Silver admitted that an outbreak of of positive tests that could shut down the entire operation, but the league is prepared to handle an all-star player testing positive and continuing on while the player goes into quarantine.
