Thon MakerC, Detroit PistonsThon Maker's fourth season in the NBA went the same way as his prior campaigns, as his potential went untapped while averaging 12.9 mpg for the Pistons.
Maker's raw production is promising for fantasy purposes, as he is a rare center that brings blocks, 3-pointers, and a respectable steal rate to the table. Nonetheless, he has never seen more than 17 mpg and saw his minutes decline for the third season in a row. If Christian Wood finds his way out of Detroit in the offseason it stands to reason that Maker could carve out a larger role for himself, especially if Blake Griffin were to succumb to injuries as he did for the majority of this season. Maker would still have to prove himself versus the likes of John Henson and Sekou Doumbuoya, but Maker would be a popular sleeper in standard leagues if he received a true workload. In his current role, Maker was just a top-335/336 per-game player (8/9-cat).
