This is sort of a unconventional question, but I think it may be the right place. Me and some friends play a 12 team league for 2 years now, and want to implement keepers for the next season.
Which would be the "best" settings for you, keeper players? Any sort of advice would be nice, since draft positions, keeper draft punishment, trades, whatever's in your mind.
We sort of figured that there are a lot of possibilities, and are trying to narrow to the most balanced of them.
Here are the settings I like for snake draft keeper league (12 teams)
1. Keep THREE players.
2. Players cost a draft pick two rounds earlier than they were picked the previous season. e.g. First season, drafted Victor Oladipo Round 5, next season will cost a third-round pick.
3. Players who were not drafted in the previous season, count as if drafted in a round after last official round. e.g. In a 13-player roster, an undrafted player would cost a 12th round pick the next season.
That's a good base to play around with. Ideally, if your group is tight and consistent, allowing pre-draft draft pick trading to be allowed.
