MLB Pickups of the Day for April 1st

  • It’s that fun time of year again everyone, where you take a look at your fantasy rosters and realize you have three injured players, two guys who were set down to AAA, and another player or two who don’t quite have the role we were hoping for.

On the other hand, there are some players we weren’t particularly interested in before the year that have come out of the gate in style, and some of them deserve to be added to our rosters, or at least given strong consideration.

I’m going to highlight a few of these payers for you guys to take a second look at before putting in your waiver claims/FAAB bids tonight or on Sunday night. There will be some fades/avoids thrown in there as well, as sometimes a great line can be deceiving, so we will touch on those from time to time.

These articles will be coming out once a day (written by me or another member of our excellent team) to help you guys stay ahead of the rest of your league.

    Let’s dive in!

Potential Standard League Adds (12 team):

Charlie Blackmon has been off to a great start, going 5/9 with a HR to start the year He’s never been great away from Coors so it’s a good sign that he’s being productive early on the road. He’s a backend OF3 option in 12 teamers.

Jorge Soler went deep yesterday, and I think there’s a good chance he sticks in the 5 hole of the Marlins lineup most nights. He’s a deeper league player for now with a chance he becomes an add in 12’s.

Ha-Seong Kim has been off to a great start, going 4/7 through his first two games. He should be able to provide 10-10 this year with a decent average while suiting up in an elite offense. He’s a sneaky add in all but the shallowest of formats.
