Two of the most surprising teams in the NFL square off on Sunday and I couldn’t be more geeked as these are two of the teams I had kind of pegged as “dark horses” this season. The Lions have been nothing but consistently good this season while the Bucs have been mostly good and just generally overlooked. There’s plenty of talent on both of these rosters, so I can’t wait to dig in.

    Main Storylines to Watch

Is Jared Goff truly bad on the road? We all know the home/road splits that exist with Goff, but why? Is it true he’s “mentally soft?” Was he bad last week? I just refuse to believe that the location of an individual would have *that* drastic of an affect on a player, but the history here refutes me.

Lions Running Back Room: Jahmyr Gibbs is out again, so that will mean plenty of David Montgomery, but are we going to trust him against this tough rush defense? Who gets the touches after him? Craig Reynolds? There’s a lot to wonder about when it comes to the rushing attack on the Lions this week, though with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams back the passing attack is at full force.

Will the Bucs keep winning? I say it every week, but the NFL at large still doesn’t understand how good the Bucs are, even without Tom Brady. Have they faced relatively easy matchups so far? Sure. But it’s not like the Eagles blew them away either, and Baker Mayfield has had some less-than-stellar performances. The wide receiver room here is top-notch with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and the defense carryovers from SuperBowl-hopeful teams are also top-notch. If there’s any question mark on this team, it’s the run game but Rachaad White is plenty serviceable and that shouldn’t be a major issue here.
