Michael Conforto is almost three years removed from anything resembling excellence in the major leagues, but it’s important not to forget the offensive potential that he still likely possesses. This is a player who has been an all-star, hit at a 125WRC+ level or higher in 4 separate seasons, and many evaluators believe that his true self was more reflected in his 2020 season, when that WRC+ reached 158. While he hasn’t started the year well overall, a recent run of home runs is enough to take a chance on him, and if Conforto continues his form, he’ll be a great year long option.
