This week was a crazy week for fantasy baseball and owners are all over the waiver wire searching for replacements for their injured players. If you are one of those owners, look no further than this, as I’ll be putting together a few names you should be looking at on the fantasy baseball waiver wire for week 3. (Rostering numbers via ESPN)
Jarred Kelenic – OF Mariners (40% Owned)
I am just going to preface this by saying the way that Jarred Kelenic has been hitting the baseball he should be owned in at least 75% of fantasy baseball leagues. Kelenic is hitting the ball hard 60% of the time which ranks 11th in baseball, to go along with his 94 MPH average exit velocity which comes in at 22nd in the league right behind Ronald Acuna Jr. His xBA is .327 (94th percentile) which is a bit lower than his true .362 batting average but is still fantastic. Kelenic, over the past week, has hit 4 homers, had over a .400 batting average, and a 28 K% which is a bit lower than his season mark of 31% which is a bit encouraging. If Kelenic is available in your league, don’t walk, run and go and add him.
